An Introduction

I'M SHANNON.

 Imagine this:
You're an actress.
(I don't think that'll be hard for most of you, but boys you'll have to work at it)
You've got an audition tomorrow.
(Or later today. Or two days from now. Or eventually.)
You need two contrasting contemporary monologues.
... for a girl.
OOF, right?

Where do you go?

Now, normally I'd say:
Head to your nearest book store,
read through the character descriptions of all the plays,
find someone that sounds kind of like you,
see if they have a speech,
go from there.

But that's a lot to do.
And you only have an hour.
(Or a day. Or two days. Or something.)

NOW what do you do?

Introducing
SOMEONE MONO-BLOGGING
A Blog for Characters Who Talk

Every week, I (or one of my buds) will post a monologue, for a young woman (unless my bud is old or a dude), and include four things:
1. A synopsis of the play
2. A description of the character
3. A transcription of the monologue
4. A video of myself (or the bud) performing the monologue.

And we're gonna do EVERYTHING.
Contemporary.
Classical.
Comedic.
Dramatic.
Solo Shows.
Shakespeare.

FUCKING. EVERYTHING.
And if there's any requests or suggestions, we'll take them.
